How to Import Contacts?

 

If you already have a list of contacts in the form of a CSV file you can easily import them into your contact list by following the instructions below.

 

  1. From the main menu, click Contacts.

  2. Once on the Contacts page, click on the blue AddContact button and select ImportContacts

  3. Click on Choose File
  4. Navigate to your CSV file, and click Open

  5. Click on Upload CSV

  6. Match the fields in the CSV file with the fields in your account. Use the drop down menu next to each column to select the appropriate fields. Once everything is set, click Run Import.

Here are the Default Import Fields for Contacts:

 

Honorific:
example: Mr, Ms, Dr
First Name:
Middle Initial:
Last Name:
Email:
This will be considered as the Primary Email for the contact
Birthday:
Anniversary:
Phone:
This will be considered as the Primary Phone for the contact
Phone 2:
Phone 3:
Phone 4:
Time Zone:
Address:
This generates the default field Labeled "Address" (1 of 5)
Address2:
This generates the default field Labeled "Address" (2 of 5) only needed for say Apt#
City:
This generates the default field Labeled "Address" (3 of 5)
State:
This generates the default field Labeled "Address" (4 of 5)
Zip Code:
This generates the default field Labeled "Address" (5 of 5)
Company:
Title:

 


 

Please Note: A CSV file (coma separated value file) is the standard way to transport information from one system into another and can easily be exported from programs like Excel
