How to Import Contacts?

If you already have a list of contacts in the form of a CSV file you can easily import them into your contact list by following the instructions below.

  1. From the main menu, click Contacts.

  2. Once on the Contacts page, click on the blue AddContact button and select ImportContacts

  3. Click on Choose File

  4. Navigate to your CSV file, and click Open

  5. Click on Upload CSV

  6. Match the fields in the CSV file with the fields in your account. Use the drop down menu next to each column to select the appropriate fields. Once everything is set, click Run Import.

Here are the Default Import Fields for Contacts

Name: (note: only to be used if you have a Full Name field)


Phone: (note: This will be considered as the Primary Number for the contact)


Email: (note: This will be considered as the Primary Email for the contact)


Address: (note: this generates the default field Labeled "Address" 1 of 5)

Address2: (note: this generates the default field Labeled "Address" 2 of 5 only if needed for say Apt#)

Address City: (note: this generates the default field Labeled "Address" 3 of 5)

Address State: (note: this generates the default field Labeled "Address" 4 of 5)

Address Zip Code: (this generates the default field Labeled "Address" 5 of 5)


Birthday:


Company:


IMPORTANT: Never use both the Name: and First Name & Last Name field together.

First Name: (note: use if you have a First Name column in your file)

Last Name: (note: use if you have a Last Name column in your file)


 

Please Note: A CSV file (coma separated value file) is the standard way to transport information from one system into another and can easily be exported from programs like Excel
