What is the Difference Between a Business Line or Information Hotline?

If you are like most users setting up their phone number you may be asking which phone type is right for you: Business Line or Information Hotline? What are the differences and advantages of each? Here is the breakdown.

The short answer is you can do almost anything with both number types. The difference lies in what you plan to use the number for.

Business Lines are basically normal phone numbers. Someone calls in to speak with a live person to ask about a property or inquire about selling their own. Once they call in you can send them to voicemail, forward the call to another number (they would still see the Profit Dial number) or send them a text or ringless voicemail.

Information Hotlines can be thought of as a message service where someone calls in to hear a recording. For example want more info on this house? Press 1. Saw a Bandit Sign on someone's car and want to enter the driver's extension to get more info and a call back? Call this number, etc..
