Contact Record: Overview

The Contact Record page is a powerful tool to keep track and manage your contacts. However with a huge variety of options it can sometimes be overwhelming trying to figure out which button does what. This article takes you through each of the options and provides an overview of what can be done. 

  1.  Details: The details tab is the default view of your contact's information. You can edit all the values by clicking on the pencil icon. For more on editing tabs click here.1.png
  2. Add Tab: Clicking this button will enable you to add a new tab to display a contact's information is a way more relevant to your business. For more information click here2.png 
  3. Manage Tabs: Clicking here will enable you to edit the tabs themselves and not just the information they hold. You will be able to add custom fields and rearrange their order. For more information click here.3.png
  4. Recent Activity: Recent Activity shows you all the events and communication that happened with the contact including text messages, property assignments, tasks created and more. For more information click here.4.png
  5. Active Flows: All Active Flows the contact is associated with are listed here. If you want to cancel the flow for a contact you can do so directly from this tab by clicking the cancel button. For more information click here.5.png
  6. Notes: Here all the notes for the contact are displayed. To add a new note you can simply click on the Actions menu to the right and click Add Note. For more information click here.6.png
  7. Tasks: Here all the tasks assigned to the contact are shown. For more information click here.7.png
  8. Texts: All texts, both incoming and outgoing, that have been sent or received by this contact are shown here. Note that you can also see the status of texts and if they have been successfully delivered. For more information click here.8.png 
  9. Calls: All calls that are outgoing are displayed here, including information such as call duration. For more information click here.9.png  
  10. Previous and Next Buttons: These two buttons provide an easy way to list through your contacts without having to click your browser's back button all the time, which resets your place in the contact list. This is especially useful if you filter down your contacts to a small number and then just want to list through them individually. Screen_Shot_2019-06-20_at_2.58.15_PM.png
  11. Going Back: If you want to return to the Contact List view you can simply click on the X button to exit the Contact Record page. Screen_Shot_2019-06-20_at_3.27.25_PM.png
  12. Actions: This dropdown menu is a central part of the Contact Record page. From here you can take a wide variety of actions on your contact from sending marketing materials, to opting their number and email in, and triggering flows. For more information click here.Screen_Shot_2019-06-20_at_3.34.39_PM_2.png
  13. Primary Details: In the case that the contact has multiple email address and phone numbers, this section shows which ones marketing materials will be sent to. You can easily edit this by clicking on the pencil icon, but note that you will be editing, not the actual number or email (this can be done in the details tab), but rather which number and email you want to send marketing to. Screen_Shot_2019-06-20_at_3.34.39_PM_2.png
  14. Social Details: This is a useful module that you can place links to your contact's social media sites such as FaceBook, Instagram, Pinterest and more. For more information click here.Screen_Shot_2019-06-20_at_3.34.39_PM_2.png
  15. Tags: Tags are useful in differentiating between groups of contacts. Note that if your tags are not showing, but there is a number it means that they are being hidden (something that can be changed under System Settings). For more information click here.Screen_Shot_2019-06-20_at_3.34.39_PM_2.png
  16. Properties: If this contact is a seller or is tied to a specific property you can use this module to assign them to a property or even add a new property to your pipeline. For more information click here.Screen_Shot_2019-06-20_at_3.34.39_PM_2.png
