Objectives
What's the difference between the Original Contacts version and the New Smart Views? Here's the list of changes to the new version:
- Search & Filter Function
Original Version: Featured a basic search bar for filtering emails, phone numbers, and names. Additional filters for tags and properties were accessible via the magnifying glass icon, and a funnel icon for more contact field filters.
New Version: Offers enhanced filtering options directly from the main Contact Manager page, including filters for Created Date, Last Activity Date, and Opt-In Status. The Advanced Filters function, akin to the previous funnel icon, allows for comprehensive contact field filtering. The search bar retains its original functionalities. - Viewing a saved list
Original Version: Saved filters were accessed by clicking the binocular icon.
New Version: Replaces the binocular icon with a more streamlined “+Manage Views” label for accessing saved lists. - Importing/Adding Contacts
Original Version: The button for adding or importing contacts was located at the top right section of the page.
New Version: This button has been updated to an orange color and repositioned slightly to the left for better accessibility. - Exporting Contacts
Original Version: Lacked a quick-access feature for exporting contacts.
New Version: Introduces a convenient Export button next to the Add Contact button. - Column Settings
Original Version: Column view and settings were found under the "table" icon button to the left of the Add Contact button.
New Version: This functionality has been updated with a gear icon, now located at the rightmost heading of the contact list for easier access. - Actions
Original Version: Individual action buttons were placed on the rightmost part of the contacts list, with bulk action buttons at the top.
New Version: Maintains the same placement for individual contact Action buttons,
but now the bulk Actions button only appears when multiple contacts are selected, streamlining the interface. - Profit Dial buttons
Original Version: Options to call, email, text, or send RVM to contacts were visible via icons on the right side of the table.
New Version: Adopts a minimalist design where these "peek-a-boo" icons appear only when the cursor hovers over a contact record, reducing visual clutter.
