  1. Access System Settings:

    • Log in to your REI BlackBook account.
    • Click on the gear icon at the top right corner to enter the System Settings.



  2. Navigate to Letter Template:

    • In the System Settings page, find and click on 'Letter Template'.



  3. Create New Template:

    • Click on the 'Add New' button to start creating a new letter template.



  4. Use the Editor:

    • You'll be taken to the letter template editor.
    • Add a name and a description for your template for easy identification later.


  5. Use the provided space to create your letter template, similar to using a standard document editor.


  6. Save Your Template:

    • After finalizing your letter, click on the 'Save' button to store your template.

 

Bonus Tips for Enhanced Customization

You can use a free third-party website like Canva to design your letter. Their templates have the option to be embedded in other platforms, copy the HTML code and paste it on your letter template in REI BlackBook:

Designing the Letter in Canva:

  • Go to Canva's website.
  • Choose a letter template or create a design from scratch.
  • Customize the template with your text, images, and design elements.
  • Once your design is complete, copy the embed code (HTML format) for your design.

Embedding the Design in REI BlackBook:

  1. From the Letter Template menu bar select the source code icon.
  2. Paste the HTML code into the space provided and click 'OK'.
  3. Your Canva design will now appear in the document editor. Don’t forget to save!
