Sometimes many of your emails will go into the recipients spam folders. While a lot of this depends on their privacy settings one of the things you can do to help your emails avoid the spam folder is to add an SPF record. Most domains, including all purchased directly from REI BlackBook, already have this in place. However if you imported a domain or somehow deleted this record you can easily add it back by following these steps:
- Click on Web Tools and select Domains.
- Click on the three dots at the right most section of the page, and select Manage DNS for the domain you want to edit.
- Scroll all the way down to where you see TXT Records. In the first filed type: "@" and in the second "v=spf1 include:sendgrid.net ~a" as seen below. NOTE: do not include the "" marks. Finally click Update Domain.
You now have a SFF record added to your domain.
NOTE: It can take 1 to 2 hours for the changes to propagate through the entire system but usually it is instantaneous.
