Welcome to REI BlackBook, the all-in-one marketing and business software solution. You now own a very powerful tool that will help you grow your business in a variety of ways.
Objectives
In this support article, you will learn how to set up your REI BlackBook account. Once you’ve completed these steps, you will have a domain name, a website, a branded email, a phone number, and a basic understanding of the power of REI BlackBook.
Step 1: Log into your account
After you sign up with REI BlackBook, you will receive a welcome email with your username and password for your account.
If the email is not in your regular inbox, please check your spam folder. If you did not receive the email at all, contact us at support@reiblackbook.com.
However, you still might be able to log into your account by clicking here.
Your username is the email address that we have on file. You can reset your password by following the steps shown in How Do I Reset The Password For My Account.
Step 2: Set up your marketing profile
A marketing profile is an application that stores your company’s contact information, including company name, your and/or employee name, logo, email, phone number, etc.
It's used to populate your contact information when creating email templates, property fliers, single property websites, and other points of communication that you send to your clients.
There are many places where you will want to display your name, email, phone number and other information so potential clients can contact you.
Instead of writing the same information over and over again, do it once here and we will take care of the rest for you.
You can even make one profile for your business and another for your personal information. You can change all of this and tailor it to specific cases at any time.
Step 3: Create your seller website
Your company’s website will be a powerful and attractive tool that can feature properties, contact forms, blog posts, mission statements, and a whole lot more.
First impressions are important and having an online presence will not only give you credibility with clients you find off the web but will also give you a foothold into the vast internet market.
By not having a website, you will not be able to grow or boost your business.
To learn how to launch your website, click Set Up Your Seller Website.
Step 4: Create a landing page
A landing page, also known as a squeeze page, is a single-page website with a sole purpose to capture leads.
Your landing page can capture leads by having visitors fill out a form that is conveniently located on the page.
Getting new leads and contacts is a major part of any business, especially in real estate.
People are more likely to fill out your form if they are presented with a web page that asks them this directly, as opposed to navigating through a website to find one.
To see how to create your landing page click Landing Pages: Overview.
For more information on the differences between a Landing Page & a Website check out our BLOG: Landing Pages vs. Websites: How Are They Different?
Step 5: Get a domain name
A domain is a name for your website. Instead of a long link with random letters and numbers, you can assign a name to your website, such as www.webuyhouses.com.
Not only is a domain name easier for your potential customers to remember, but it also adds credibility to your website and landing page.
For instructions on how to purchase a domain name, click Secure Your Domain.
Do you already own a domain through another registrar? Click How to Import a Domain to see how to import it into REI BlackBook.
Step 6: Set up business email
Now that you have a domain name, you can set up a custom email address that matches your website name, such as matt@webuyhouses.com.
Generic emails sent from REI BlackBook, such as Yahoo or Hotmail, are often blocked by spam filters. When someone fills out the form on your Website or Landing Page, REI automatically sends them tailor-made emails specifically targeting them with a well thought out strategy.
It is a very powerful tool that saves you countless hours of work, and more importantly, it can turn leads into deals.
However, you need a custom email to make it work. For step by step instructions on creating your email, click How to Create a New Custom Professional Email.
Step 7: Get a business phone number
With Profit Dial, you can have a phone number that automatically gives callers a pre-recorded voice message, as well as forward those calls to your cell phone.
A 24-hour Real Estate Hotline gives you the ability to collect a prospect’s phone number when they call for information. By having their phone number, you will be able follow up with these potential leads.
To see how to set up a phone number click Set Up Your Business Phone Number.
